Full Pictures and Close-ups: Adam Selick Bottle from 1892

Size Bottle Markings
c 10" tall, 3" square square liquor bottle, no markings
Description, including signature and date
This bottle contains a ladder-like structure with fans carved at the ends of cross posts, and two birds on top. The fans are each different, as can be seen by the four different views of this bottle, and the coloring seems to have been done with colored pencils and paint. On top is a small plaque which says "Adam Selick Built 1892." It was made for a railroad yardmaster in Emporia, PA, who helped Selick out by lending him some money; the bottle was a thank you gift.

At the right, below the picture, are links to several other Selick and suspected Selick bottles.
